Marvel TV shows 1st episode of ‘The Defenders’ at Comic-Con
Both characters play a role in The Defenders, the miniseries that brings together Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist to face a still-undisclosed threat in New York City.
Played by Jon Bernthal (Baby Driver), the character took his bow in Daredevil Series 2, almost stealing the show from Matt Murdoch and team, but he hasn’t been seen since. We’re expecting just as much brutal intensity from Berthnal, along with The Punishers unique take on morality. Not only that, but Misty Knight (Simone Missick) will seemingly join the cast, leading to a team-up with Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) straight out of the comics – where their team-up is called The Daughters of the Dragon.
“Elektra is an amnesiac and doesn’t remember who she is or anything about her past life”, Young said. Sigourney Weaver’s sinister villain.
A single comment on social media has led fans to wonder if Spider-Man might be appearing in the Netflix’s Marvel universe via The Defenders. The show was preceded by “Daredevil”, “Jessica Jones”, and “Luke Cage”. There’s just no limit to how cruel she can go. From there we get the logos from each show then we get the teasers money shot: The Punisher. All hailing from their own corners of New York City, the four Netflix-Marvel shows are about to collide in a major way.
All episodes of Marvel’s “The Defenders” streaming only on Netflix August 18.At the SDCC, besides showing the first episode of the show, a new trailer was also launched, with characters from the recent “Iron Fist” also making an appearance.
