Marvin B. Woolf: A Republican supporter of Planned Parenthood
A Democratic state lawmaker has formally complained about not getting called on to speak during House debate on the defunding of Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood has the ability of help women in the many aspects of health, not merely abortion. Under state law, Missouri clinics or physicians at those clinics must obtain certain privileges with local hospitals to provide abortions.
The organization says it will use the tour to encourage government leaders to continue investigating Planned Parenthood, and to block public funds to America’s largest abortion provider.
Abortion rights supporters delivered more than 2,000 petitions to the university seeking reinstatement of the clinic doctor’s privileges.
The House passed the bill Tuesday on a 62-30 vote.
“Testimony given by people all around our state-from Planned Parenthood staff to community partners-demonstrated that women and men rely on Planned Parenthood”.
“The Senate passed a variation of it, so they just need to come together and pass the same legislation – but they’re both the same in heart”, she explains. Despite no evidence that there is any truth to the videos’ claims that Planned Parenthood is illegally selling fetal tissue, Republicans in several states have insisted on eliminating funding that enables millions of women, especially low-income women, to access health care.
