‘Mass Effect: Andromeda’ – Senior Development Director Leaving BioWare
Senior Development Director Chris Wynn announced his departure on Twitter a week ago, though he didn’t explain why he chose to leave. “Development of Mass Effect Andromeda continues to move full speed ahead at BioWare Montreal, Edmonton and Austin”, said BioWare in its statement.
Speaking on Twitter, Wynn revealed that he would be heading back to the United States but was set to continue to follow the development of Mass Effect: Andromeda, which saw its official announcement unveiled at E3, 2015.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is going to be the first game in the series to not have Commander Shepard as the lead playable character.
“Chris was a great member of the team”, it said. Speaking in a Tweet, Wynn confirmed his exit from the company last week. Prior to joining BioWare Montreal, Wynn worked as a producer at Epic Games and Microsoft, helping to launch games like Gears of War 3 and Gears of War Judgment. In reaction to the announcement, gamers across social media platforms and gaming websites have even started speculating that the upcoming “Mass Effect” title may not be released in 2016. Chris Wynn, meanwhile, is an established and talented game maker, having “a hand” in developing the Gears of War franchise, and is generally assumed Wynn will land on his feet. The eagerly awaited addition to the critically acclaimed role playing, sci-fi series remains high on many people’s’ lists for 2016 most anticipated games, and appears unlikely to change despite this hiccup in the game’s wrapping development. Mass Effect: Andromeda is scheduled to be released sometime in 2016, and will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
