Massive pythons found hiding in toilet
We know it’s a popular place of emigration for many Irish folk, but seriously, how are they all staying alive out there?
Zoology student and volunteer snake catcher Elliot Budd captured the freaky sight, saying that it was not that usual for snakes to slip into toilets.
Speaking to Mashable Australia, Budd said that the finding snakes in toilets wasn’t something unheard of.
Just in case you were planning to sleep tonight (or go to the bathroom at some point in your lifetime), here’s some delightful information that should keep you up, energized, and never wanting to pee again: Two snakes have recently been pulled from Australian toilets, one of them measuring around three meters.
“I’ve had a couple in office buildings, which is usually a bit of a surprise”, Budd said. Wrong. Very wrong. He was called for a second time soon after, and at first he believed it was a prank. That one the lady told me on the phone that it was in the toilet.
All but the second snake’s head was inside the toilet piping, Mr Budd said. I hoped my days pulling snakes out of… It seems that the snakes, looking for water, find toilets a convenient spot to quench their thirst.
Carpet pythons are one of the most common breeds of snake in Australia, according to Snake Catchers.
She said the snakes had probably become more daring in their search for water during this year’s dry breeding season, causing them to seek out unusual sources of moisture. “They’re not something to be feared, but you shouldn’t go grabbing one if you don’t have the training”.
