Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel Couples Therapy
For over 10 years, “The Martian” actor has been a part of a long-running joke on “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, in which Kimmel apologizes to Damon each night for bumping him from the show.
Kimmel rolled tape of the therapy session, which revealed that while he’s “ready” to let Damon “back into his life”, there’s apparently still a lot of hostility.
“I try to get him on the show, but we have a one hour show every night”, Kimmel explained to the therapist.
“I do want to show this”, Kimmel told the crowd, “because I want you to see what kind of person this is”.
It’s no secret that Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel don’t get along. He talks the talk. “And now he makes me feel insane!”
In their “therapy” session, the two poked fun at Damon’s movie We Bought a Zoo as well as the 44-year-old’s looks. “What do you imagine it feels like to be him every day?” the therapist asked Kimmel.
In true JKL fashion, the A-lister’s appearance inspired the evening to be dubbed “Hate Night” which included a pre-taped sketch of the late night host and the Oscar victor attempting to work through their issues in couples counseling!
Kimmel also talks about how he’s been trying to get Damon on the show, but it’s hard because, you know, it just is.
Dave wasn’t always safe behind his desk, as Crispin Glover proved when he showed off his kicking ability for the late-night host.
Damon and Kimmel are in couples therapy. Their lively conversations always make for entertaining TV.
After a week of shooting in L.A., Letterman was reunited with his mentor Johnny Carson, who got behind the desk one last time.
