Max Gradel completes £7m move from Saint-Etienne to Bournemouth
Gradel travelled to the south coast of England on Monday to undergo a medical with the Premier League club ahead of a proposed move.
That said, Bournemouth need to stay realistic as the Premier League is an unforgiving division and if the new boys are not well equipped, they could face the harsh realities of fighting against the drop for majority of the campaign.
The likes of Sylvain Distin, Christian Atsu, Artur Boruc, Joshua King and Tyrone Mings have all joined, but the Gradel signing will certainly turn more heads after the forward’s fine performances in France last season.
Gradel previously worked with Eddie Howe while on loan from Leicester City when the manager was part of Kevin Bond’s coaching staff. and then moved to Leeds before joining Saint-Etienne in 2011.
An Ivory Coast global, Gradel is newly-promoted Bournemouth’s seventh summer signing as they prepare for their first ever season in the Premier League.
The former Leeds United man netted 17 times in the French top-flight and only penned a two-year extension last summer.
