Mayawati says Swami Prasad Maurya disloyal, selfish; triggers war of words
Meanwhile, Bahujan Samaj Party legislators on Saturday unanimously elected Gaya Charan Dinkar as the new Leader of Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh assembly.
“He was disloyal to the party and to his own community”.
“But I refused to be part of the discussion as the move was unethical – I have left BSP and will officially leave the post (of LoP) on Monday”, Maurya said.
“He never toiled for Maurya, Shakya, Kushwaha and Saini communities”.
Maurya had on June 22 left the party, saying “Instead of selecting good candidates, who are loyal to the policies of the party, Mayawati is auctioning tickets to the highest bidder”.
“Had she learnt how to speak, the situation in the party would have been different.it is she who has made a mockery of Baba Saheb (Ambedkar) and Kanshi Ram’s ideology.she has betrayed Ambedkar and Kanshi Ram and murdered their ideology”.
The SP leaders also ruled out Maurya’s entry into the party. “We will never forgive him or give him a re-entry into the party”, Ms Mayawati told reporters. “My effect can be seen as she is so scared that she is personally called even expelled MlAs to come for the meeting”. “RLD would be happy to welcome Maurya in its party fold”, he added.
He also said that in July he would call a meeting in Lucknow which is likely to be attended by at least 25 BSP legislators who are unhappy with Ms Mayawati.
The BSP chief said that the announcement of a new Leader of the Opposition in UP Assembly would be announced later in the day.
