Mayor De Blasio To Unveil Plan Addressing NYC’s Homeless Population
The Daily News reported that the two are working on a major project together, but C.K. has denied that, saying it’s a “total coincidence”.
What exactly is comedian Louis C.K. doing following around New York City mayor Bill de Blasio?
De Blasio has faced criticism after a series of incidents involving emotionally disturbed homeless people, though he insists the number of people living on the streets has “not appreciably increased”.
The mayor’s fellow Democrat and rival, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, meanwhile, has a 58 percent job approval rating with a 36 percent disapproval rating, the poll showed.
Safe NYC is also the first part of an effort to stem a rising tide of homelessness on the streets of the nation’s largest city, where the homeless population has risen since de Blasio took office in January 2014. Exactly the same percentage of voters approve of the mayor.
The election calendar keeps getting shorter. Among Democratic Party voters, Stringer has a whopping 61-15 approval rating, compared to de Blasio’s 56-33 score.
The Jewish Comptroller also has a positive rating among Republicans, as 41-33 approve his job performance, while 80% disapprove de Blasio’s job performance as mayor.

“It’s quite simple. They will be arrested”, de Blasio said.
The city is going to spend $6 billion on homelessness over the next four years. More voters surveyed in the poll suggested that they felt that Cuomo better understood the needs and problems of New York City than its mayor. It’s a front-page headline that likely won’t help those poll numbers.
