Mazda will recall over 400000 CX-5 models
Mazda is issuing a recall and stop-sale for 2014, 2015, and 2016 models of the Mazda CX-5 crossover.
Mazda says the issue affecting 264,400 CX-5s involves a fuel filler pipe that could rupture during a rear-end collision, potentially causing a fuel leak.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration hasn’t released additional details and Mazda hasn’t said how the SUVs will be repaired.
Anyone affected by the latest Mazda recall should contact the nearest dealer for further information.
“If a customer has concerns about driving their vehicle before the fix is available, dealers will offer a free loaner, demo or rental vehicle”, the company said.
The recall impacts 19,000 trucks in the USA, including Puerto Rico and Saipan. Luckily for Mazda no injuries or accidents were reported from customers of CX-5s. Mazda’s latest recall, however, applies to an entire run.
Many recalls don’t cover entire vehicle lineups. One might even call it a…total recall.
