McCarthy: Benghazi panel goal ‘the truth’

She released a plan Monday to take executive action to crack down on high-volume gun sellers at gun shows, where rules differ from brick-and-mortar stores.

The Agenda Project, founded by veteran Democratic consultant Erica Payne, is calling for a House Ethics Committee investigation and what they call the new “witch-hunt[ing]” Benghazi select committee.

She threatened to remove the “unique” legal immunity that protects gun manufacturers and dealers against law suits, and would boost funding for more inspections of gun stores, aggressive enforcement of existing law, and punishment of dealers who break the law. President Barack Obama said at a recent press conference he had exhausted all the tools available to him to strengthen gun control laws.

“This is a classic Clinton attempt to distract from her record of putting classified information at risk and jeopardizing our national security, all of which the FBI is investigating”, said spokeswoman Emily Schillinger.

“What are her (poll) numbers today?”

“We’re trying on our side to lay out specific proposals to lay out what we would do as President to lift up our vision of what our country can be”, said Clinton.

Representing a rural Vermont constituency with many hunters has left Senator Sanders with a checkered history on gun control.

Her leading rival is Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. While Sanders has wooed the Democratic base with his liberal positions on issues of income inequality and college debt, he has struggled to defend a more mixed record on gun legislation that reflects his rural, gun-friendly home state.

Sanders now says he supports banning assault weapons and closing the so-called gun show loophole that exempts private, unlicensed gun sales from background check requirements. I am supporting her, much to the consternation of my district.

Garcia also said that the secretary of state will continue fighting for the students, teachers, and those who make a living for their families, stating that she understands that a strong economy starts with a good education. “I want to know what tomorrow is about, not what yesterday’s about”.
