#MCM: Adam Driver in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’
There will be no mid-credits or post-credits scene.
Star Wars fans are breathing a sigh of relief after the producer of the new film confirmed the goofy, unpopular Jar Jar Binks will not be making a return.
That puts a stopper on recent rumours that The Force Awakens ending would tease 2016’s Star Wars Rogue One movie.
“No, there’s not. All the scenes are actually in the movie”.
Given that the new Star Wars franchise will be hitting our screens once a year, it was thought that there may be some universe building between the films. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount has scored a coveted pre-Star Wars spot for a Star Trek Beyond trailer. However, it appears that rumor has been officially put to bed thanks to Abrams’ comments. The contestants will be shown The Force Awakens later that day, and then the new film will play on repeat for as long as viewers remain in the theater.
It’s worth mentioning that the polite thing to do is to stay for the credits in any movie, given that each and every name that scrolls by worked hard to make the film you just watched.
Star Wars devotees joined the queue, dubbed “The Line Awakens” by theatre chiefs, in the hope they could be among the first to see the flick when preview showings open on December 16.
