Media picks Auburn to win SEC; LSU third in West
Auburn is the media pick to win the SEC Championship. But this is the same league that LSU won with an 8-0 record in 2011, including a win at Alabama, but Alabama beat LSU in the BCS national championship game.
The media poll has picked the accurate champion five times in 23 years.
Auburn received 108 first-place votes to Alabama’s 92, but the Crimson Tide had a slight edge in overall points (1,405-1,362).
USC got just one first place vote.

Heck, even Kentucky picked up one first-place vote in the SEC East. The total vote had United Kingdom picked to finish sixth in the conference, ahead of only Vanderbilt.
