Medical examiner: Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland died due to toxic
Weiland, 48, the former front man for the band Stone Temple Pilots, was touring with his new band, the Wildabouts, when he died in his sleep on December 3, while in Bloomington, Minnesota. Examiners also found that cardiovascular disease, a history of asthma and multi-substance dependence also likely factored in the frontman’s death.

The report says the time of death was 8:27 p.m. The top 10 also includes STP’s “Vasoline”, “Big Empty” and “Sex Type Thing”, plus Velvet Revolver’s “Slither”.
