Medical Marijuana Users Can Legally Vaporize Anywhere in the Province

The new exemption, however, does not completely give them the license to vape anywhere they please.
“As an employer and a restaurant owner, you can say that there is no vaping, no smoking of medical marijuana”, she said.
“We do want to accommodate medical needs that exist in Ontario and I’m going to be hopeful the government will get this right”.
NDP Leader Andrea Horwath said she’s concerned about people being exposed to second-hand marijuana smoke or vapour, although she wants to take a closer look at the regulations.
On Wednesday, Damerla, told reporters on Wednesday that the decision came after consultations with the medical community and health advocates.
Using marijuana in any form without a prescription is illegal in Canada. The plant has been given a bad name for the past several years, but has recently been pushed to be legalized by activists and recreational users.
Other studies have found medical marijuana significantly improves quality of life and pain control for patients who need it. The study, which involved 215 adults, was conducted over the course of four years.
Medical marijuana was quietly exempted this week from a law that bans the use of e-cigarettes anywhere regular cigarettes are prohibited. He added that there were no regulations that covered vaporisers in the past.
Damerla pointed out that now there are no limits on e-cigarettes, and medical marijuana users can vape in public.
But Zaid highly doubts the change in regulations will mean medical marijuana users flooding playgrounds and restaurants to vaporize.
“Everyone that I know, including myself, who uses medical cannabis is discreet about it”, he said. “There are other ways to consume medical marijuana other than smoking or vaping”.
“If it’s for medical purposes, it’s for medical purposes”.
Patrick Brown, Ontario PC Leader, expressed concerns that the new provincial rules would contradict with respective municipal guidelines.
