Meek Mill faces prison time next year over parole violations

Nicki Minaj testified on his behalf telling the court that her boyfriend does not do drugs and that he is doing bodybuilding. And defense lawyer Frank DeSimone says the couple is seriously discussing marriage. She was in court with him and told the judge she’s working to keep Mill on the straight and narrow.

Meek testified in Philly for more than an hour, and during the testimony he got emotional a few times, including while describing how much it hurt not being able to go see his mom in N.J. after she had surgery. “I am”, Minaj told the judge.

The lawyer of Robert Rihmeek Williams, the rapper professionally known as Meek Mill, recently talked about the seriousness of his client’s relationship with Onika Tanya Miraj, more popularly known as Nicki Minaj. “He can be irresponsible”.

As one of the conditions of his parole, Meek is required to get approval before travelling since he is on probation for a 2009 drug and gun conviction.

On that, Brinkley seemed to agree.

Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley cited that Mill had submitted cold water for a urine test and broke travel restrictions, which are considered “technical violations” of his probation, according to a tweet from a Philadelphia-based journalist.

She has alternately scolded, wrangled and jailed Mill while ordering him to undergo etiquette, anger management and parenting classes. While engagement rumours have been circulating for months, the 33-year-old gave no clue of the ring’s significance in the photo that she shared with her near 41 million followers. This time, however, it was Meek who spoke up, although Minaj and his mother were present too.

While this already appeared to be a big story, Hollywood Life noted another interesting scenario: the gift-giving act was allegedly done “behind Meek Mill’s back”. He has since issued a follow-up album, “Dreams Worth More Than Money”, while touring and performing with Minaj, Jay Z and others.
