Meek Mill Says “Soon” To Drake Response
After promising to send Charlamagne a couple of bottles on “Back2Back,”Drake delivered by sending the host of Power 105 six bottles of Dom Perignon”.
“Let’s be friends, Aubrey Graham”, the note with the champagne says.
Late Tuesday night, Drake released his second diss track against Mill and what many believe to be a haymaker called “back-to-back freestyle.” But according to former aid to President Barack Obama and current CNN commentator, Dan Pfeiffer, Meek Mill may have won the war. Charlamagne Tha God named Funkmaster Flex “donkey of the day” after the promised track did not appear.
Mill sparked the feud July 21 by tweeting that Drake doesn’t write his own raps – specifically “R.I.C.O.”, a single Drake was featured on that many consider to be the best song on Meek Mill’s album.
LOL! Drake is a man of his word.
Drake has the obvious advantage of having been a part of Minaj’s rap clique since her rise to fame under Lil Wayne’s Young Money record label. Somebody was gonna make him buy bottles.
Just over the weekend, Drake released three new tracks including the highly criticized “Charged Up” on Beats 1 OVO Sound Radio show and although Drake didn’t exactly mention that it was exactly about his recent encounter via social media with Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend, Mill, the lyrics however speak exactly what happened recently on Twitter. “Drake gave us bars, salute to him for that”.
