If Donald Trump brings any of his children into his administration, or gives them the company to run how will he navigate conflict-of-interest concerns that he promised during his campaign to avoid? His campaign team brushed the comments off as “locker room talk” and that he has changed because it was 10 years ago. Its reach is worldwide.

Trump’s refusal to release his federal tax returns means there’s little detail available. They aim to associate the president-elect with chaos and delegitimize him from the outset.
The Democrats lost because they nominated the wrong candidate. He has conducted business with many different countries, including China, Azerbaijan and Uruguay. But rarely has an incoming president represented such potential for conflicts of interest.
In cities across the nation, protesters have taken to the streets carrying signs that read “Not my president”. There’s no ethical playbook to follow.
“Donald trusts no one more than he trusts Ivanka, Donald Jr, and Eric”.
“When you say you’re turning your business over to your children and you also put your children on your transition team, I think we’re already seeing the potential for undermining his presidency”, she said, urging the president-elect to “put a clear and bright line between his businesses and his administration”.
There is no law that requires a president to divest himself of his financial interests before taking office. The recent interview on “60 Minutes” could be a hint of what could come. If there is a lesson here, it may be that Trump still cares about élite opinion.

Since Trump has no experience with government and politics, let alone at the presidential level, it is crucial who he places around him to advise and guide him.

The government is not, or shouldn’t be, a family business. In such a complex empire, only the drastic answer of selling all his holdings would create complete separation.
But critics say it’s crucial for Trump’s overseas interests.
