Mega Millions expected to to hit $415M after nobody wins Tuesday’s jackpot

The cash option of the huge jackpot is $265 million. Hoosier Lottery officials are still waiting for the holder of the $9.2 million winning Hoosier Lotto ticket from last Wednesday’s drawing to come forward.

Mega Millions actually started in 1996 as “The Big Game”. Draw times are Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. PST. Two winning tickets worth $50,000 were sold in Douglas and Savannah from Saturday’s Powerball drawing. The winning Hoosier Lotto numbers for were: 5-6-11-14-21-39.

Friday’s jackpot surpasses a $414 million grand prize in March 2014.

A lottery player, who bought the ticket at the 7-Eleven at 18219 Allen Road in Melvindale, matched all five white balls for the million dollar prize.

The current Powerball jackpot is $222 million. Five balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 75; the Mega ball is drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 15.

At $390 million, the jackpot is the largest Mega Millions prize in 2016. The state says it is the third largest jackpot in Mega Millions history. Please visit the California Lottery’s Mega Millions site for more information on how to play.
