Megan Fox Joins ‘New Girl’ as the New Roommate!

I cant imagine what the look on Schmidts face will be when she shows up.

Megan Fox is headed to FOX’s New Girl – to rent out Jess’ room!

While New Girl actually filmed a bit of Season 5 early to work around Deschanel’s pregnancy (rather than incorporate it into the show), we’ve learned that her character Jess will take a brief absence a few episodes into the season, sequestered by jury duty.

New Girl Season 5 is slated to premiere in January 2016 with what FOX is calling “an uninterrupted run of all-new episodes”. The series stars Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris and Hannah Simone.

For Fox, this is a long-awaited return to television after nearly a decade away from the silver screen. She was last seen starring in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “This Is 40”, opposite Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd, and directed by Judd Apatow. In the latter, the latest New Girl actress will be cast alongside James Franco, Seth Rogen, and Will Ferrell.

In the upcoming fifth season, NEW GIRL will celebrate its landmark 100th episode.

After making a name for herself with her breakout role in Transformers, Fox went on to land roles in several big-budget movies, including 2014’s blockbuster Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Season five guest stars include Fred Armisen, Taran Killam, Nasim Pedrad, Rob Riggle, John Cho, Julie Hagerty, and Henry Winkler.
