Meghan Markle’s dad won’t attend royal wedding after all

Thomas Markle said his daughter reached out to him yesterday, which influenced him to change his mind and want to attend the royal wedding after all.

Harry’s press office declined to comment on a celebrity news website’s report that Thomas Markle, 73, needed a heart procedure and would not be well enough to fly to England.

“They (doctors) will go in and clear a blockage, fix damage and put a stent where it is needed”, he tells TMZ.

Prince Harry is reportedly feeling “devastated” and “guilty” over the royal wedding shakeup caused by Meghan Markle‘s dad AKA his future father-in-law, Thomas Markle.

Backtracking on his statements the day before, Thomas Markle told TMZ on Tuesday that he has made a decision to go to the wedding after speaking with his daughter.

Kensington Palace did not confirm whether he had pulled out of the wedding at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, but its brief statement hinted all was not well.

She brought Guy over to London last May using a pet passport, but her labrador-shepherd mix, Bogart, was deemed too old to travel and Markle was devastated when she had to leave him behind in Toronto with friends. In this case, Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland is already in London, so she can be by her daughter’s side. He also said that he had suffered a heart attack a week earlier. Ptak posted a photo on Instagram on Tuesday of several crates of lemons with the caption: “And so it begins” – as she gears up to create the mother-of-all wedding cakes.

Mr Markle’s presence at the wedding had been the source of speculation since he allegedly staged paparazzi photographs of himself getting measured for a suit for the wedding and browsing news websites for stories on his daughter.

The 61-year-old is now expected to step into her ex-husband’s shoes and walk her daughter down the aisle if he is missing from the ceremony.
