Meghan Trainor forced to cancel tour after requiring vocal chord surgery
U.S. singer Meghan Trainor canceled the remainder of her “MTrain Tour” on Tuesday after suffering a hemorrhaged vocal cord. “I am devastated, scared, and so sorry”, Trainor added.
The singer has already had to cancel some of her shows in Atlantic City, Connecticut, Detroit and Chicago, as well as her gig at the Common Ground Music Festival due to the same issue. I LOVE touring and seeing your handsome faces every night. I’m decided to do what it takes to get higher and are available again round stronger than ever.
Trainor made sure to apologize to Charlie Puth and Life of Dillon, two opening acts on her tour.

Trainor’s tour, supporting her debut album “Title”, kicked off in St. Louis in July and was scheduled to continue into September with stops including Nashville, Atlanta and Chicago. She also announced the news via Instagram, advising she needed “complete vocal rest”. Now, she said she’s focused on making a full recovery so she can get back to doing what she loves.
Meghan is the latest artist urged to undergo vocal surgery.
