Meizu MX5 Launched in India, Available On Snapdeal
The company often lauded for its superior design quality and boasting of one of the better after sales service launched its new flagship MX5, in India. Considering its specifications and price, the Meizu MX5 appears to be strong competitor against OnePlus 2, which was launched in India earlier this month with a price tag of Rs.
The Meizu MX5 is an attractive looking handset and we have a feeling there will be a good amount of interest for this smartphone. The rear camera is also capable of recording videos at a 4K resolution. The phone, however, does force the user to go for an MicroSD card or a second SIM, but not both. It’s a thin, light device, weighing only 140 grams and with a thickness of 7.6mm. A MediaTek Helio X10 chipset drives the device, and includes a 64-bit octa-core 2.2GHz CPU and the PowerVR G6200 GPU.
“A significant part of the investment will help Meizu set up more service centres in India”, he said adding that the company will also invest in various brand-building activity. The device contains a 3150mAh battery outfitted with mCharge technology.
It features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super Amoled display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Meizu MX5 was originally launched at an event in China held in June this year for 1799 RMB (~$280).
Another plus point with the camera is the presence of the Laser AF section for quicker focussing. Flyme OS 4.5, based on Android 5.0, is pre-installed. The connectivity suite of this dual-sim smartphone consists of 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and USB Type C. It has a 3,300mAh battery and now comes only in sandstone finish, though the company will soon release four more back panels.
The other features of MX5 are its fingerprint sensor mTouch 2.0, which is capable of making identification faster. The 16GB variant is priced at Rs 19,999 and will be exclusively available online via Snapdeal starting today at 2PM.
