Melania Trump’s Speech Appears To Have Plagiarized From Michelle Obama
Buoyed by a grand Las Vegas-style entrance at his party’s national convention, Donald Trump hopes to bolster Republican Party unity when congressional leaders take the stage on a day focused on the USA economy. Instead of a manicured message of unity, viewers saw the fractured face of a party still coming to grips with the polarizing man of the moment.
This week’s four-day convention is Trump’s highest-profile opportunity to convince voters that he’s better suited for the presidency than Democrat Hillary Clinton. It was up to retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn to take the fight to Clinton, leading the crowd in chants of “lock her up” in prison for her record as President Barack Obama’s secretary of state.

Mr Trump’s communications adviser Jason Miller issued a statement saying: “In writing her lovely speech, Melania’s team of writers took notes on her life’s inspirations, and in some instances included fragments that reflected her own thinking”.
Trump didn’t write her speech unassisted. “Certainly, there’s no feeling on her part that she did it”, he said.
But with Trump surrogates blanketing the RNC festivities all week, it’s another issue the campaign and GOP leadership is sure to have to tackle before the week ends and Trump is officially crowned the party’s nominee.
“Are you cheering because we’re ugly?” the Duck Dynasty star said to kick off primetime coverage of the event from Cleveland.
On Tuesday, the convention holds a state by state roll call vote, with each delegation confirming the victor in their primary election. He called Kasich “petulant” and “embarrassing” for not endorsing Trump or attending the convention, drawing quick condemnation from other GOP leaders anxious about angering the popular governor of one of the most important election states.
“To be an American, it doesn’t mean getting free stuff”, he said. An earlier version of this report stated otherwise.
“So far, so good”, Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams said Monday night.
Mr. Hill, a television journalist who was recently laid off, said in an interview that one of Ms. Trump’s lines – the words “strength of your dreams” – caught his attention as he was watching on his computer from a Starbucks in Los Angeles, juggling Facebook chats and browsing Twitter.
