Melissa McCarthy Spotted Driving Spicer’s Podium Through NYC

It seems Melissa McCarthy will once again reprise her Sean Spicer impersonation for this weekend’s Saturday Night Live, as shown through her West Side Story lip sync in the latest promo.

The Oscar-nominated actress also brought along her favorite Spicey prop as well, weaving her way through the morning rush hour traffic on a motorized podium.

McCarthy and the writers of SNL certainly have a lot to work with after this week in politics.

Still, the question remains: How can McCarthy top the Easter Sunday special in which she showed up to a press conference in a bunny costume and cracked pastel egg?

“To prepare for her hosting duties, McCarthy has been “watching and observing” President Donald Trump’s press secretary”.

McCarthy’s impression of Spicer as a high-strung, gum-chomping, belligerent White House spokesman debuted in Feburary and immediately went viral.

However, the Post then offered a correction, stating that Spicer was “among the bushes” not ‘in the bushes’.

During a hectic news week, SNL doesn’t have to use this much energy to get people to tune in on Saturday. In a previous episode of SNL, McCarthy as Spicer zips around the briefing room, ramming reporters. “There’s a streak of meanness now that they’ve crossed over to mean”. Come Saturday Night, you’ll be seeing Spicey live from NY.

She addressed the “rocky start” that Spicer and the press had: “When I say rocky start, I mean it in the sense of Rocky the movie”.

McCarthy will host the show as it still shifts to being broadcast live nationwide on Saturday, May 13.
