Men: Apocalypse behind the scenes
X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer has posted another photo from the film’s set, and it’s a bit of a head-scratcher. Apocalypse, also known as En Sabah Nur, meaning The First One, is an ancient mutant whose goal is to wipe out humanity so he can restart the world from how he wants it to be.
Directed by Singer and co-starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, X-Men: Apocalypse will open in the UK on May 19 2016 and the US on May 27 2016. Check that out below, along with some speculation about what it means for the movie.
Writer/producer Simon Kinberg scripted the film from a treatment he wrote with X2: X-Men United writers Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris.
“I feel like most franchises and superhero films don’t have that”.
Everybody who has been following the news about the latest “X-Men” movie already know that Ben Hardy will be playing the winged mutant and horseman, Angel. Maybe the “colorful” comic book-faithful versions Singer was alluding to in his past interview? If only we could see what’ll fill that green screen. That could help explain Angel’s anger. Ostensibly a safe form of entertainment akin to professional wrestling, the concept’s next appearance in a storyline in the New Mutants monthly series the following year revealed that the event had become corrupted into a bloodsport where death was a likely outcome for participants.
From Singer’s caption it’s clear the scene will happen in Berlin, and reported Apocalypse might discover Angel in Berlin and persuade him to turn out to be one in every of his horsemen. Not only did we catch the first glimpse of the younger mutants via Singer’s account, but the filmmaker also shared raw shots of the film’s Cairo set, which is said to host Oscar Isaac’s titular antagonist.
