Mental approach key to Pebble Beach – Snedeker

Snedeker is the second-most expensive option on the board behind only Jordan Spieth, but considering his recent resume at this tournament, he probably should be the most expensive.

‘I played 18 holes the last couple of days, once on Pebble and once on Cypress (Point), so if you’re not refreshed after doing that, I don’t know what’s going to refresh you. The long-hitting lefty ranks fourth in driving distance, seventh in greens in regulation and fifth in eagles per hole. In an interesting match of amateurs, quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald will be playing in the same group with their pro partners, Jerry Kelly and Kevin Streelman, respectively.

With all three courses measuring less than 7,000 yards, bombers that can take deadly aim with a wedge are going to end up on the first page of the leaderboard. The views are spectacular.

The world number one is yet again showing his loyalty to an event which offered him an exemption in the past while he was without any status on the PGA Tour and said: “I do enjoy the pro-am part – it is a change of pace”. “It’s incredible what a solid week back here of kind of rest and regeneration will do”.

This week, there are lots of options for my DraftKings PGA picks since there is such a good field teeing it up. It was obviously a tough travel schedule to do.

It was nice to see him go well in Phoenix but then I started to get a little anxious he would finish a fraction too strongly and ruin everything for this week but he can still be backed at a very tempting 100/1. “A few weeks ago I got the opportunity to go down after the Mavs game and hang out with the players and take a picture with Dirk”. Snedeker has won this tournament in two of the last three years, including in 2015 when he dominated from start to finish. It doesn’t happen. So, they’re making a plaque. You’re getting to kind of, in a way, feel like you’re playing a team event while still kind of grinding yourself. Momentum is on his side as he does seem to be trending in the right direction even though the wins haven’t come. It hosted the notoriously though 2010 U.S Open, but the annual Pro-Am iteration is one of the easier tournaments that the pro’s play all year – last year’s event was won with a score of -22.

The two are paired with Dustin Johnson and Wayne Gretzky for the first three rounds.

It also isn’t to suggest that this week is all fun and games.

“This week, I mean it really is, it’s so unique, and it’s so much fun”, Spieth said. I got up there and the shot in was so short, I told myself, ‘Just keep your head down and hit this 5-iron as hard as you can.
