Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet Spy Shots
If you happen to love all things associated with the three pointed star, then the brand new Mercedes-Benz GLS will certainly capture your attention.
Base models will again offer a four-cylinder engine, and mid-level SLCs will use a de-tuned version of the aforementioned 3.0-liter V6.
Interested in taking delivery of the new 2017 Mercedes GLS for yourself? The Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Coupe is powered by a 4.0 litre biturbo V8 petrol engine producing 510 bhp and 700 Nm of torque. Next up the line is a GLS450, which comes with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 delivering 362 hp and 369 lb-ft. The GLS550 and its 4.7-liter twin-turbo V-8 is up by 20 horsepower to a full 449, while the AMG-fettled GLS63-now officially named the Mercedes-AMG GLS63-makes 577 horsepower, 27 more than before. This is the only engine in the lineup to be mated to a seven-speed automatic; the rest use a nine-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission for gear shifting.
There are also chrome accents in the roof rails, underguard, shoulderline and side skirts.
Comparing the latest spy shots to previous shots of the regular C-Class Cabrio, we can see that the C63 Cabrio will be distinguished by a lower ride height, a slightly wider track, more aggressive bumpers, square-shaped exhaust tips and larger wheels, tires and brakes. All seven seats are draped in opulent leather that augment the spacious seating in the GLS.
Interior improvements are also abound with a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel in leather and and 8-inch color media display with inutitive touchpad and the latest installment of COMAND online infotainment software. There is also a Distronic Plus cruise control with Steering Assist mode. Key rivals include theCadillac Escalade, Lexus LX 570 and Lincoln Navigator, and soon BMW will enter the full-size SUV fray with a new X7.
