Mercedes-AMG celebrates F1 win with special A 45 AMG
If ever there was a reason for a commemorative special-edition model, this is it, as Mercedes AMG celebrates an emphatic double of Formula One Drivers’ and Constructers’ titles.
Mercedes won the Formula 1 championship for 2nd consecutive year as well as to commemorate the win, Mercedes Benz have brought out Mercedes AMG A45 4MATIC Champions edition.
As standard, the Mercedes-AMG A45 PETRONAS 2015 World Champion Edition features the AMG Exclusive Package, AMG DYNAMIC Plus Package, electrically adjustable AMG Performance seats in leather/DINAMICA, and the Night Package. “This is a way for every fan to share the success of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg“. Then there is the ingenious streamlining package.
“Taking its cosmetic look from the F1 team livery, the A45 Petronas gets black and petrol green graphics up the bonnet and rising up the side before floating round the back, and a choice of silver grey paint jobs, with a bigger front splitter, bigger roof spoiler at the back and 19” grey alloys with a petrol green rim.
Inside, the F1-themed A-Class gets AMG sports seats. Available for selection as paintwork for the edition are mountain grey metallic, designo mountain grey magno and polar silver metallic.
Well, that way is something very special by way of the Mercedes-AMG A 45 PETRONAS Edition – although not sure the livery will be to everyone’s taste.
With a maximum output of 280 kW (381 hp), the Mercedes-AMG A 45 4MATIC is the most powerful compact athlete in the world.
This colour scheme continues inside as contrasting stitching on the special performance seats with increased lateral support and race-focused steering wheel with 12 o’clock marker.
Mechanically the special edition is box stock, with the two-litre turbopetrol four distributing 280kW via AMG Performance all-wheel drive and front-axle differential lock for a 0-100 getaway in 4.2 seconds.
