Meryl Streep’s Thanksgiving Disaster Salvaged by Gwyneth Paltrow

Meryl Streep revealed in Live! With Kelly and Michael show how actress and “The Goop” goddess Gwyneth Paltrow, her neighbor in New York City, saved her from a Thanksgiving nightmare.

The 65-year-old Oscar winner said that she avoided a “disaster on the “Thanksgiving day” when she with her family and her brother were preparing for their festivities and her oven refused to cook the turkey. “I hate my oven – I hate it!”- the Into the Woods actress admitted. She hated her oven even more because it went bad on the Thanksgiving Day. The turkey took about 11 hours in the oven and still needed more cooking. The oven was on the fritz and the three-time Academy Award-winning actress turned to Paltrow via email for help. 42-years old Gwyneth, who considers Streep as her beauty icon, wasn’t home but let Meryl borrow her kitchen, and asked her doorman to let the Mamma Mia star in.

The actress revealed that Gwyneth Paltrow, who owns a beautiful apartment in her building, has the best oven that she had ever seen in her life. Streep went over and finished cooking all the sides in Paltrow’s oven. In her words “The sides were fantastic.” Blaming funnily her oven and her brother, who was in charge of cooking the turkey, Streep was quite relieved that she could finally cook a perfect feast for the thanksgiving dinner.

When the show host Kelly Ripa asked Streep if she peeked around rest of Paltrow’s home, the actress said “no”.”I didn’t. I brought one of my daughters, who was dying to. They had to draw lots for who went with me. It’s a beautiful, beautiful place.”

Meryl Streep who was recently awarded “The Presidential Medal Of Freedom” surely owes her “Thanksgiving Dinner” to her friendly neighbor Gwyneth Paltrow.
