Messy mix of snow, freezing rain hits Ottawa

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 30 degrees as of 6:54 a.m.at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies reported. Overnight temperatures won’t hold steady or rise into the mid to upper 30s.
Western Mass News Meteorologist Dan Brown said that areas of Hampshire and Franklin counties, especially the higher elevations, could have icy roads this morning as temperatures are still near freezing there. The southeast corner of the state is at a high risk for flash flooding, as ground already saturated from rain over the weekend will be drenched with heavy rainfall from thunderstorms in Louisiana and Mississippi.
