Mets Fan Cries On Mike Francesa’s Sunday Show ‘Listen’
Francesa told Will where and when to meet him, and he shouldn’t be hard to spot. However, this time Francesa turned Will’s frown upside down by inviting him to game three in New York on Monday night.
It’s a class move by Francesa, who plans to sit with his guest. “It bothers me as a Met fan”, he said while very clearly beginning to choke up.
“I don’t know what to say”, he said eventually, sounding at one point as though he might cry again.
“Say, ‘let’s go Mets, ‘” Francesa responded. The slide broke Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada’s leg, ending his season.
The slide was criticized by many in sports media and garnered Utley a two game suspension from Major League Baseball, which the Dodgers infielder is now appealing.
New York radio host Mike Francesa was on the airwaves Sunday morning talking Mets, when he took a call by Will from Queens.
Now, thanks to Francesa, “Will from Queens” is getting the chance to see Harvey’s performance live.
