Mewtwo amiibo will be released in Europe on October 23
The next wave of amiibo are due to hit shelves sometime in the fall, Nintendo of America announced.
As part of the ongoing celebrations of the 30th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. The amiibo figures launching on the 11th of September feature many fan-favorite characters from the Super Smash Bros. series like Zero Suit Samus, Ganondorf and Bowser Jr. The blocky Mario will be compatible with Super Mario Maker, and there’ll also be a deluxe edition of the game that will have the amiibo packaged inside.
His will be one of 60 levels that come included in the game at launch. Duck Hunt, ROB and Mr. Game and Watch will no longer be sold separately; the new plan is to sell them in a 3-pack two weeks later, on September 25.
Amiibo have their own niche in the marketpace for sellers and re-sellers, with the most recent craze a race to obtain the Palutena figure sold exclusively on Amazon. Perhaps the restocks will slow, and Nintendo will go back to a unified release date system, with the US, Europe, and Japan getting Amiibo on or around the same date.
