Mexico begins legal process against Guzman’s security chief
Mexico’s Interior Minister Miguel Angel Osorio Chong denied accusations that Guzman was being mistreated by prison officials, adding that Guzman had been visited by a lawyer on Tuesday.
Store owner Shawn Esteghbal told the publication that what made him excited was not because “El Chapo” was an worldwide criminal, but the fact the famed drug kingpin is remarkably wealthy, having landed in the Forbes’ list of billionaires in 2009.
Mexico has said it plans to extradite Guzman, head of the Sinaloa drug cartel, to the United States, where he is wanted for exporting hundreds of tonnes of cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin across the border.
A U.S. law enforcement source said at least two federal prosecutors’ offices had in the past sent extradition requests for Guzman to Mexican authorities – the U.S. Attorney’s offices in San Diego, California, and El Paso, Texas.

According to Diario SPORT, Mexican authorities confirmed, based on their findings that El Chapo had serious intentions of buy Chelsea. “We all want them – the killings in Chicago to stop”, he continued.
But legal experts doubt that the actors could face charges, unless they accepted money from illegal proceeds from Guzman to make a film. One of those actors was Penn.
“During his six months as a fugitive (for a second time) Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzman left his comfort zone on only one occasion and that was to go to Tijuana to fix his erectile dysfunction problem”, the sources added.
El Chapo’s lawyers have now accused Penn of making up the remarks – and have said he should be called to give evidence over the “stupidities” in the article. “I have a fleet of submarines, airplanes, trucks and boats” – the statement that Badillo is now claiming to be falsified.
What might be the most ridiculous part of the convoluted soap opera this has become is that people are purchasing the now-famous “El Chapo shirt”.
His article, run by Rolling Stone, a magazine infamous for its eagerness to bask in controversy and the attention it gets them, provides some insight into what motivated El Chapo, and how the Mexican narcotics industry works.
