MI anticipates high winds, rain, snow in Midwest storm
The service has issued a gale watch for parts of the state’s west side from Wednesday evening through Friday afternoon.
The main hazard with this storm will be incredibly strong winds in excess to 45 miles per hour at times.
With new heavy snow bands setting up in northeast Colorado, southeast Nebraska and northwest Kansas, a blizzard warning remain in effect in these areas until Wednesday evening.

Environment Canada first issued a special weather statement on Tuesday for Hamilton and southern Ontario, saying strong southwesterly winds are expected with gusts to 70 to 80 km/h.
Then, Wednesday night, a strong fall storm will move in.
Severe thunderstorms are in the forecast for parts of the Midwest and South on Wednesday. The strongest winds likely will be Thursday morning, with gusts of up to 50 miles per hour.
There is also a lakeshore flood warning for the entire Lake MI shoreline, also starting 1 a.m. Thursday.
