MI primary gets more interesting after SC
Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton emerged as the big winners following this weekend’s Republican primary in SC and the Democratic caucuses in Nevada.
Rubio, who is 25 years his junior and a first-term senator from Florida, finished in second place in SC on Saturday, edging out Cruz.
But after Trump handily won the Republican contest, he elaborated on the reposted tweet. His campaign cited progress with Latinos in Nevada, but his advisers are clear-eyed about the challenges on Super Tuesday, which offers a large haul of delegates who will choose the party’s nominee at the national convention in July.
RedState was quick to point out that Trump has less than 5% of the delegates he needs to win the party’s presidential nomination, with managing editor Leon H. Wolf reminding readers it ain’t over ’til it’s over.
“I’m competing against professional politicians”, Trump said on CBS’s “Face the Nation”. He now heads to Nevada, where Republicans will caucus on February 23.
“In an election where serious solutions are seriously lacking, Marco RubioMarco RubioJohn Feehery: Trump and the fall of Bush Fracking pioneer to advise Rubio on energy Trump wins additional New Hampshire delegate MORE has proven that he can inspire more than just anger in Americans who are looking for an alternative to the status quo”, Flake said in a statement released by Rubio’s presidential campaign on Monday.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) has never won a presidential primary.
Entirely different from his brother George W. (Dubya), Jeb Bush was a thoughtful candidate who was more inclined to focus on policy.
The Trump skeptics might bring up one last line of argument.
Trump made the case that he could be the consensus candidate.
In an interview in January, Trump said he was opposed to the sell-off of public lands to the states. “And poor John, I don’t think he has enough to win that battle, so I guess my default has to be Marco”.
The endorsements came as Rubio tries to seize on the exit of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush on Saturday to win the support of more mainstream members of their party. “Our campaign is the only campaign that has beaten Donald Trump and that can beat Donald Trump”.
Donald Trump’s rivals are running out of time to stop him after his dominant performance in SC.
“Frankly, if she gets indicted, that’s the only way she’s going to be stopped”.
