Michael Bennett to Seahawks owner Paul Allen: Pay Kam Chancellor
Bennett spent four years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before becoming a productive defensive end for the Seattle Seahawks. In fact, just one day earlier, Martellus compared Jay Cutler to Jesus, saying that the criticism Cutler receives is unfair.
Did the Lions get screwed out of a win over the Seahawks last night thanks to a missed penalty call by the game’s referees?
“He’s from Dallas and Dallas, they killed the President”, Bennett said. “They threw rocks at Jesus, and Jesus was an excellent guy who did a lot of awesome stuff”, Bennett said after the Bears victory over the Raiders. Is he ever done?
During former holdout Kam Chancellor’s postgame interview on ESPN about his game-saving play Monday against the Lions, Bennett popped his head into view and had a few words for Paul Allen.
Bennett also manages to sneak in that Allen is the 17th richest man in the world. Perhaps this is a twisted version of JFK’s “ask not what you can do for your country” speech, but interesting that Bennett has been so selfless about his deal and so willing to talk about the need for Chancellor to get paid commensurately.
Speaking of notice, that’s what Bennett put Seahawks owner Paul Allen on after the game.
But we ignore most of that for now because Bennett is so willing to speak his mind, controversy be damned.
