Michael Jackson’s Estate and La Toya Jackson Mourn Joe Jackson’s Death

Joe Jackson died two days after the nine-year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death.

Michael Jackson‘s estate responded to the death of Joe Jackson after he died from pancreatic cancer early Wednesday morning.

He was separated from his wife Katherine but it is understood she had frequently been at his bedside during his most recent hospital stay. The illness was “at the end stages” and reportedly could not “be treated”, and he was hospitalized in June.

As his family members’ profiles rose, Jackson’s relationships with his wife and children increasingly suffered.

Williams, another TV host, also joined in commemorating Joe Jackson’s legacy on Twitter.

On Sunday, Jackson tweeted, “I have seen more sunsets than I have left to see”.

Daughter La Toya Jackson honored her late father with a tweet.

Along with Taj Jackson, who issued a warning to fans, other celebrities remembered the Rhythm & Blues Music Hall of Famer with kinder words. Instead, he made his sons into superstars. You gave us strength, you made us one of the most famous families in the world. He also left behind another child, Joh’Vonnie Jackson, which he had with Cheryl Terrell.

He married Katherine Scruse in 1949 and they had ten children: Maureen (Rebbie), Sigmund (Jackie), Toriano (Tito), Jermaine, La Toya, twins Marlon and Brandon, Michael, Steven (Randy) and Janet. The couple raised the family in a three-bedroom home in Gary, Indiana.

Jackson never apologized for the unbending physical and verbal discipline he inflicted on his children during their formative years in Gary, Indiana.

Jackson was sacked as Michael’s manager in 1979 and left out of Michael’s will when he died in 2009 at age 50. “Once he ripped the wire cord off the refrigerator and whopped me with it”.

In 2017 he, along with daughter Janet, had been involved in a vehicle accident near the Las Vegas Strip after a red SUV hit the Black Jaguar where Joe was in the passenger seat.

That same day, at the Radio Disney Awards held in Los Angeles, California, his daughter Janet mentioned her father in her acceptance speech for the inaugural Impact Award, as The Hollywood Reporter noted. “I would fight back and my father would kill me, just tear me up”. “My siblings set an incredibly high standard, a high bar, for artistic excellence”, Janet Jackson said as part of her acceptance speech.
