Michael Jackson’s Father Joe Jackson Hospitalized After Suffering Stroke

In an emailed statement, the Albert Einstein hospital said only that Jackson was admitted Sunday afternoon and was suffering from an irregular heartbeat. Her brother Jermaine tweeted earlier this week their father remains in the hospital and is doing extremely well. A Brazilian hospital says Jackson, the father of the late Michael Jackson and the patriarch of the musical family, suffered a stroke while visiting the South American nation.

He wrote: “To my family, friends, acquaintances and fans all over the world”.

On Monday Joe, the man behind the Jackson 5 – the band that catapulted his son Michael to global superstardom, took to his website to reassure fans that he hoped to make a “quick recovery”.

“We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the wonderful surgeons, doctors and nurses at the Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paulo”.

“Thank you all once again for your prayers and support”, he added. Shortly after, he released a statement saying, “I should be able to make a quick recovery”.

“The greatest adventure you can take on this world, is to live your life and enjoy the ride”.

According to the news outlet, Jackson is in Brazil for his birthday party when the emergency occurred.
