Michael Jordan says he could’ve beaten LeBron in his prime
Michael Jordan told attendees of his annual basketball camp in California that he could’ve beaten LeBron James when he was younger.
When the first session ended, Jordan’s question-and-answer session featured a courageous (or horrifyingly disrespectful, take your pick) youngster pointing at MJ’s shoes and asking the viral question, “What are those?!?!”.
“If I was in my prime, could I beat LeBron in a one-on-one game?” Included in his answers?
There were louder cheers this time, and applause.
However, Jordan supporters point out that while Jordan went 6-0 in the Finals, James is now a mediocre 2-4 with both the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers.
If I played one game, who would I want to coach: Phil Jackson or Dean Smith?
The two went back and forth on social media over a picture that featured five of the greatest Los Angeles Lakers of all-time, along with five of the greatest members of the Bulls organization. I think we would’ve killed them.
Jordan was also asked about the player he would prefer to face right now, in his current 52-year-old body, between Steph Curry or LeBron in a one-on-one duel. “I absolutely love him”. I, along with everyone in that draft, wanted Kwame Brown because of his athleticism, his size, his speed. “He was still a young talent, 18-year-old, 19-year-old kid”. I hope he comes back healthy. “Even though he stole all my moves, but that’s OK”.
There was really no stone left unturned here.
