Michael Jordan to be inducted in FIBA Hall of Fame
Antoine Rigaudeau of France, Lithuania’s Sarunas Marciulionis, Vladimir Tkachenko of Russia/Ukraine, Cuba’s Ruperto Herrera Tabio, Anne Donovan of the United States and Australian coach Jan Stirling will also be inducted.
As said by an ESPN report, Charlotte Hornets owner, Michael Jordan, will be inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame and enshrined on September 19th, 2015.
This latest honor appends the long list of achievements that Jordan has had in his career.
Maybe Jordan will get the FIBA Hall of Fame to update its website for the first time since 2013.
Muratore added: “Just as important, they also stand out for the character they have displayed and the countless efforts they have made to promote our sport. We look forward to honouring them”.
Of course, Jordan’s exploits are far greater on this side Of the pond, where he rose to become the greatest player in National Basteball Association history.
Jordan was previously inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009, where he gave an interesting speech.
The 2015 Class will be honored in Lille, France, then presented at halftime of the Eurobasket championship game on September 20.
Jordan played on two Olympic gold medal-winning American basketball teams. After being immortalized in the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1995, she now serves as head coach of the Connecticut Sunday.
