Michael K. Williams to join casts of Assassin’s Creed, Ghostbusters
With “Boardwalk Empire” having ended its run last fall, Michael K. Williams is finding ways to stay busy on the bigscreen.
Ahead of that, the actor is said to be in talks to join the casts of the all-woman “Ghostbusters” movie reboot, and the adaptation of the video game “Assassin’s Creed”.
With the Assassin’s Creed franchise featuring a lot of jumping and running about, it seemed like it would be the ideal game to recreate in real life, which is what YouTuber Devin Graham, also known as Devin Super Tramp, has been doing for the past couple of years.
Both roles will be supporting characters, according to Variety who broke the news, but no word yet on what exactly they will be. The femme-powered pic is being directed by Paul Feig and stars Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy. Fassbender has the lead role of an everyman kidnapped by a mysterious, high-tech organisation and forced to relive the memories of his assassin ancestors as he locates powerful artefacts. Justin Kurzel of “Macbeth” is set to direct and the film is slated for release next year. He’ll also be seen in Captive, which has yet to confirm a United Kingdom date and spoof melodrama TV series The Spoils Before Dying, a sequel to The Spoils Of Babylon.
He is repped by WME and Silver Lining Entertainment.
