Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: Injured During Preseason Game

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had to leave the Charlotte Hornets preseason game against the Orlando Magic due to a shoulder injury. That said, these build ups of injuries are very worrisome. He was immediately helped to the locker room.

Gilchrist is fresh off of signing a new extension with the Hornets too, which compounds how unlucky this is for Hornets fans hoping that this season can turn out better than mostly every other season the team has had since the franchise returned.

Clifford was able to hold to his commitment to not play any of his five starters – Kidd-Gilchrist, Marvin Williams, Al Jefferson, Nic Batum and Kemba Walker – more than 24 minutes.

If Kidd-Gilchrist is sidelined for a prolonged period, it’s a near death blow for Charlotte.

Rookie 7-footer Frank Kaminsky didn’t enter the game for the first time until 9:58 remained.
