Michael Moore Protests Outside Trump Tower With “We Are All Muslim” Sign
Minnesota’s capital city has voted to condemn Donald Trump’s anti-Muslim rhetoric, but he won’t be banned from the City of St. Paul.
Jimmy Kimmel did his best to reason with Donald Trump on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week, arguing that it was “unAmerican and wrong to discriminate against people based on their religion”, but Trump was having none of it. Why isn’t the United States presidential candidate line-up filled with intelligent, inspirational and diplomatic candidates?
The resolution initially included wording that said Trump wasn’t welcome in the city, but that was omitted before Wednesday’s vote after it drew much criticism, including an editorial from the Star Tribune that said a “not welcome” declaration against the Republican went too far.
When Trump told CNN’s Jake Tapper basically the same thing he told Kimmel, Tapper pushed back, “They support a ban on Muslims entering the US?”
“Eighty-one percent of the electorate who will pick the president next year are either female, people of color, or young people between the ages of 18 and 35”. In other words, not you or the people who want you leading their country, he wrote in his letter. He showed the world a way of thinking that Muslims have seen their entire lives-“We have a problem, it’s called Muslims”-and the outrage in response has been lovely”. “Just as we are all Mexican, we are all Catholic and Jewish and white and black and every shade in between”.
