Michael O’Neill unsure whether he will remain as Northern Ireland manager
SAINTS midfielder Steven Davis completed a sensational few days last night by captaining Northern Ireland to their first ever European Championship.
At Windsor Park there was a strong Fermanagh representation willing their boys on to victory including Enniskillen man Gary Donalson, pictured below.
Group D provided the biggest surprise as Ireland stunned world champions Germany in Dublin with 1-0 win thanks to Shane Long’s 70th-minute strike.
Germany need only a draw at home to minnows Georgia to ensure their ticket to France next year and even if they lost, only a draw between Poland and Ireland in Warsaw would condemn them to a play-off spot.

“One of the best moments was his reaction in the interview afterwards, I was crying then, that was really special I thought what it meant to him to play for Ireland”.
Davis, who was just a year old when his country went to the Mexico World Cup in 1986, was clearly emotional about his contribution on such a famous day.
Northern Ireland go into their final fixture in Finland on Sunday three points clear of Romania at the Group F summit.
“Right through the team, magnificent, It’s a privilege to be here, I’m proud to stand here as their manager”, said O’Neil.
“The belief and attitude of this squad gave us a lot of belief we could get the result [against Germany] and thankfully we did”, he told the Football Association of Ireland’s official website.
“It’s bitter for me and worse for the team”, Mueller said. “One got through and they won”.
The victory for Martin O’Neill’s Republic now leaves qualification to next summer’s tournament within their grasp as they face second-placed Poland on Sunday. We prepared the team well, players deserve the ultimate credit as they have to buy into it. We have confidence and belief which comes from winning games.
O’Neill also admitted he was kept up-to-date throughout the game on the happenings in Glasgow, where Scotland and Poland drew 2-2.
