Michael Owen and Andy Gray predict Chelsea v Newcastle
Diego Costa may miss Chelsea’s home game against Newcastle United after a training incident left him with a broken nose.
Costa had his custom-made mask fitted on Friday, with Guus Hiddink confident the 27-year-old will be able to feature in Saturday’s encounter with the Magpies.
It hasn’t gotten easier for the club, as Diego Costa broke his nose during training and will have to wear a mask for the near future. Diego put his nose on the back of the player and was very unlucky.
Cesar Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill and Nemanja Matic have all worn masks after injuries this season.
Appointed interim boss for his second spell in charge, Chelsea have gradually improved under the Dutchman’s unwavering guidance and are unbeaten in 11 games, heading into Saturday’s clash with struggling Newcastle and Tuesday’s Champions League clash with PSG. “I’m not sure, but I think he will be available”.

Despite Chelsea’s poor form this season-the defending champions now sit 13th in the Premier League table-they should still be favourites to down 17th-placed Newcastle at home. We have to go to Chelsea with no fear and have a go.
“We might have some options changed”, he said.
The Magpies’ 1-0 win over West Brom ended a run of nine Premier League games without a clean sheet.
Two sides needing to steer themselves away from relegation meet at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea face Newcastle later night. While still a little tight I think Chelsea should comfortably cover it and move themselves closer to a top half finish while possibly sending Newcastle back into the relegation zone.
They have conceded eight goals in their last four home games in the league, compared to just one in four away from Stamford Bridge.
A draw at Chelsea would represent a creditable return but head coach McClaren admits his team can not sit back and try to soak up pressure, so will go for all three points.
Dutch goalkeeper Tim Krul, French winger Gabriel Obertan, Senegal forward Papiss Cisse and defensive pair Chancel Mbemba and Massadio Haidara remain sidelined with longer-term injuries.
