Michael Phelps Wins His 21st Olympic Gold Medal!

Last night Phelps won two more gold medals and is now 3 for 3 in these Olympics on golds.

The cutie was watching his dad from the stands with his mum, Phelps’ fiance Nicole Johnson and the United States athlete couldn’t resist a quick cuddle from the tot after he was awarded his medal.

Phelps, 31, beat the defending champion South African swimmer, 24, and everyone else, during the 200m butterfly event.

While it was a good night in the swimming for team GB, with two silver medals added to the haul, the night belonged to Phelps.

Wikipedia trolls edited Chad le Clos’ Wikipedia page to say he “died by the hands of Michael Phelps”, after the Olympian was defeated by his rival in the 200m butterfly. Le Clos was warming up by shadow boxing and Phelps gifted the world with an awesome new meme: “Phelps Face”.

Phelps’ victory, on a night when he also captured his 21st gold medal in the 4×200 meter relay, provided a bookend to his rivalry with le Clos, who narrowly out-touched Phelps in the same race at the 2012 games. In an image that will surely become iconic, Le Clos is seen looking and focusing on Phelps instead of looking straight ahead as Phelps is.

Phelps embraced his baby, Boomer, as he celebrated winning his record-breaking 20th Olympic gold medal.
