Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G, Fire 4G and Play 4G launched in India
Micromax has expanded its 4G LTE range of smartphones with three new additions: Canvas Blaze 4G, the Canvas Fire 4G and the Canvas Play 4G.
The Micromax Canvas Fire 4G (seen above) is identical to Canvas Blaze 4G, except the processor and the battery.
Not long after releasing the Canvas Spark 2, Micromax has now released three 4G powered handsets in the country with prices starting from Rs 6,999. As is clear through its name, the headlining feature of this device is its 4G LTE support, and another highlight is the fact that it runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
The Micromax Canvas Play 4G is the beastliest device of the bunch, and it sports a large 5.5-inch panel with a resolution of 1,280 x 720.
Micromax further notes that the offer is valid for purchases made from Authorized dealer/retailer only, old smartphone purchased from online retailer are not eligible for this offer. It is powered by Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480 x 854p) screen and is powered by a 64-bit quad-core 1GHz MediaTek MTK6735 processor, coupled with a 1850mAh battery.
“Our 4G smartphone launches are well timed with the 4G technology evolution and roll-out to ensure our consumers use mobile internet for not just entertainment but also for work while at home or on the go”.
The plan is valid for 6 months and will be applicable across the entire lineup of the company’s 4G-ready handsets.
Sporting a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, the Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G also sports a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Once again, the Micromax Canvas Fire 4G and Canvas Blaze 4G cost Rs 6999, while the Canvas Play 4G can be bought for Rs 12499. “Canvas Fire 4G is the first in a series of such launches”, said Vineet Taneja, chief executive officer, Micromax Informatics.
