Micromax Canvas Pace 4G
It looks like Micromax has another cheap Android smartphone in the pipeline, the Canvas Pace 4G. The handset is an entry-level device that packs in the basics with its 4G radios being the highlight.
The Canvas Pace 4G is now listed on Micromax’s website.
The budget 4G smartphone market is heating up with Lenovo, Phicomm and ZTE already in the sub-Rs 5,000 segment.
The Micromax Canvas Pace 4G is powered by 1.1GHz quad-core and it comes with 1GB of RAM.
The Micromax Canvas Pace 4G packs in 5 inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display on the front. The smartphone also comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is also expandable to 32GB via microSD card. The Canvas Pace 4G runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, and now we get to pricing.
At the back, the handset features a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, whereas in the front, there’s a modest 2-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies. Battery life is said to last for up to 9 hours of talk time or up to 375 hours of standby time. The device includes regular connectivity options such as a dual SIM setup for 4G and 3G bands and 4G enabled LTE connectivity that is capable of providing download speeds of up to 150Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50Mbps. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer. The new device will be available in a Black colour variant.
We think a price cut would make the smartphone a very attractive offering in India.
