Micromax launches Canvas Spark 2
Micromax has launched it new mobile Canvas Spark 2 today at a price of Rs. 3,999 and is exclusively available on Snapdeal. Users can register on the Snapdeal website starting on 23rd September, 2015.
Micromax offers Canvas Spark 2 with a 5-inch display of FWVGA (480X854) screen resolution and is powered by 1.GHz quad-core processor.
On the photography front, Canvas Spark 2 offers a 5-megapixel back camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front selfie camera.
He further stated, “The Canvas Spark 2 is the most affordable 5-inch, 3G, Android Lollipop device available in the Indian market, making it a great value proposition for the consumers”. The Canvas Spark 2 also features dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This phone is packed with 1800mAh battery.
The Canvas Spark 2 will be available in Black and will come with a set of accessories including a charger, data cable, earphones and a screen protector. Further, the smartphone comes pre-loaded with some utilitarian applications such as Firstouch language solution, Scandid, Kindle, Hotstar, Clean Master, Swiftkey, Snapdeal as well as games.

While the Canvas Spark 2 is an affordable 3G Smartphone, it will face tough competition from the likes of Yu Yunique, Phicomm Energy 653 and Lenovo A2010, all of which are 4G LTE-equipped Smartphone’s that cost just Rs 1,000 more. Now smartphone penetration stands at 12 percent in the country and 3G adoption is also barely 10 percent, which presents a huge opportunity for upgrade, Taneja said.
Micromax has proved itself by producing Smartphone at a cheaper price amongst other worthy opponents. “It shows that we still have a big window for upgradation.”, he added.
