Micromax launches new smartphone at Rs.3999
It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 4GB of internal storage which can be extended upto 32GB via microSD card.
The Smartphone is spotted with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front facing selfie camera.
Micromax Informatics Ltd., in partnership with Snapdeal, today announced the launch of the Canvas Spark 2. Dubbed as Canvas Spark 2, the phone has been termed as “India ka 3G phone” for being user friendly and economical at the same time.
In terms of connectivity, the Canvas Spark 2 has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and a microUSB port. The smartphone additionally has dual-SIM support with 2G and 3G network access. “Our association with Snapdeal has been long standing, and we expect sales of Canvas Spark 2 to touch newer heights in the coming weeks, which will further strengthen our leadership position in India”, said Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax. Now smartphone penetration stands at 12 percent in the country and 3G adoption is also barely 10 percent, which presents a huge opportunity for upgrade, Taneja said.
The e-commerce channel is also expanding, and the low-end smartphones in 3-4K range will be the next frontier, he added.
This phone also comes pre-loaded with some more applications such as Scandid, Kindle, Hotstar, Clean Master, Swiftkey, Snapdeal as well as few games.
Even if Android 6.0 Marshmallow is just around the corner, it’s still not a bad idea to purchase a smartphone with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
The registrations for the first sale of this new device will be starting from September 23rd which just two days away while sale will be on September 30th.
It is one of the most affordable 3G Android smartphones available in the Indian market.
The smartphone comes with a 1,800 mAh battery which the company claims to last around 300 hours on standby mode.
The Canvas Spark 2 will be available in Black and will come with a set of accessories including a charger, data cable, earphones and a screen protector.
